Who is Codix Healthcare ?
Codix Healthcare Limited was incorporated in October 2013 but started full operations in April 2014.
In 2014, Codix Healthcare Limited was the Exclusive Distributors for SD Bioline and SD Biosensor till 2016. A migration was necessitated by the takeover of Abbott to become Exclusive Distributors for Alere/Abbott alongside SD Biosensor from 2016 to 2019. Codix Healthcare Limited finally moved to represent exclusively, SD Biosensor Inc. The other manufacturing companies that the company represents exclusively in Ghana are Micobiomed and Accubio.
Over the years, Codix Healthcare Limited has been active in promoting, distributing and supplying the broad range of products of all these manufacturing companies.
Successes we have garnered within this period have been the supply of Malaria Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) to the National Malaria Control Program.
Our Company Profile
At the height of the Cholera outbreak in Ghana in 2016, Codix Healthcare was solely tasked to intercede to supply the unique Cholera RDT to the Ghana Health Service, Public Health Division and this was used for screening nationwide.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Codix Healthcare Limited was instrumental in liaising with like-minded Scientists and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and International Donor Agencies to push forward for adoption of Antigen testing regimes alongside the dominant methods of testing PCR. Credit has been given to Codix Healthcare Limited for liaising with the Health Ministry, Public Health Division and Research Institutions to introduce the Quantitative testing regime using the Fluorescent Immunoassay Analyser (FIA) which aided in quick diagnosis and the cascading of COVID-19 testing to other Allied Primary Health Institutions.
Within the last two years, Codix Healthcare Limited has been able to liaise effectively with the National AIDS Control Program, the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service to introduce the nouvelle CD4 Advanced Disease test kit and has been adopted for use nationwide since 2024. Also, the Standard Q HIV/Syphilis Combo and HIV ½ Ab 3-Line has been adopted for use in the National Algorithm commencing 2024.
The turnaround and success is attributed to the focused Team dedicated to providing quality healthcare, towing the line of the streamlined vision of the Codix Group to be able to do this.
